Clinicians collaborating at Angeles Psychology Group in Los Angeles

Angeles Psychology Group is built on the collective values of authenticity, integrity, diversity, safety, and holistic healing. Do these strike a chord with you? If so, consider joining us.

We consciously build a unique culture that supports growth and development for our clinicians just as much as for our patients. Engage, learn, network, and market yourself with a supportive group of knowledgeable colleagues, a calm and containing office space, and wrap-around support services that let you focus on your passion. Together we elevate the practice of psychological healing and wellness in Los Angeles — and we want you to join us on this journey.

01 — Our cultureWhy clinicians choose this Los Angeles practice

Angeles Psychology Group was built as a small, collaborative community of clinicians rather than a high-volume clinic. Our therapists know one another, consult across cases with client consent, and share a conviction that lasting change reaches beneath the symptom to what is actually driving it. That orientation shapes the day-to-day: fewer hand-offs, more genuine continuity, and room to do the deeper work that drew most of us to this field.

The practice was founded by Dr. Neil Schierholz, PsyD, and the culture reflects it — depth-oriented, affirming, and honest about what therapy can and cannot do. Clinicians have autonomy in how they work while staying connected to colleagues for consultation and support, integrating our root-cause approach to therapy in a way that fits each person they see.

02 — Open rolesWe are currently hiring

If your orientation is depth-oriented, somatic, humanistic/existential, liberation, or feminist — and you value working in a supportive group setting — we’d love to hear from you. Current openings:

03 — Who thrives hereThe depth-oriented clinicians we look for

We welcome licensed clinicians — or those on a clear path to licensure — whose approach aligns with depth-oriented, somatic, and affirming care. The therapists who thrive here value the therapeutic relationship as central, are comfortable working beneath the surface, and care about genuine fit with the people they see. Research from the American Psychological Association reinforces how central that relationship is to outcomes. Experience across modalities is welcome; a willingness to keep learning matters more than any single credential.

As an ideal candidate to join us, you are:

  • Driven to provide the best-quality, holistic psychotherapy in psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, somatic, humanistic/existential, liberation, and/or feminist traditions
  • Licensed, or on track to licensure, as a Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC
  • A Post-Doc or ABD looking for a supportive place to bring patients from your internship
  • A solo practitioner who has found the experience isolating or otherwise dissatisfying and is looking to work in a supportive group setting

Because we serve a diverse community across cultures, bodies, relationships, and identities, we especially value clinicians who bring cultural humility and a commitment to people-first, affirming care. You can read more about our mission and values to see whether the fit feels right.
