I’m Matt, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist for individuals, relationships, and families. I also run the Gay Men’s Therapy Group.
I do my best work with brilliant weirdos. High-functioning people who’ve done therapy before and sense something’s stuck that all the talk hasn’t touched. Narcissist survivors. Co-dependents. The ones who flinch at the power in my voice and then get to discover that power can be accountable, that nurture can be reliable. Queer, neurodivergent, and intersectional clients find their way to me. I work in parts (Internal Family Systems), and parts work makes complexity feel at home.
Couples come in tired of bleeding for love. Same with polycules and families. Adding more bodies to the room sharpens the work.
In the room I’m present and precise. The first few sessions build a map of your system: what each part of you wants, and which paths it takes to keep you safe. From there we negotiate. The parts inside you usually want a treaty. They just need help writing one. Where it’s useful, we do careful work on the parts holding the most. I stay close to your nervous system so things move without overwhelming you.
You’ll get my full attention. If you want them, you’ll get monthly clinical reports: a running picture of what’s happening in your system between sessions. I’m direct. I don’t hide behind technique. I’ll push when something matters. I’m not for everyone. Those who connect with this style don’t look back.
Before therapy I spent a decade as a corporate leader. I outmaneuvered every coach and therapist I hired until Internal Family Systems and group therapy gave me a map I couldn’t argue with. The way I work with clients is the way I learned to work with myself.
If something here lands, book a free video chat. I have ways to make things work for your budget.
