Short Biography
I believe therapy works best when you can show up as your full self — not the polished version, the “I should probably have this figured out by now” version, or the version you think your therapist wants to see.
My approach is warm, collaborative, direct, and deeply relational. I work with you to understand not only what you are struggling with, but what may be underneath it, including how past experiences, relationships, protective patterns, and your nervous system have shaped the ways you have learned to cope, connect, and move through the world.
I especially enjoy working with people who are thoughtful and self-aware but still feel stuck. You may understand why you do what you do, recognize the pattern while it is happening, and still find yourself repeating it. Therapy can become a place to move beyond insight alone and begin creating change that is more deeply felt and sustainable.
I integrate trauma-informed, attachment-based, and experiential approaches with evidence-based interventions, including EMDR, parts-informed work, ACT, and DBT, adapting treatment to you specifically rather than simply expecting you to fit into a particular model.
Therapy with me can include humor, honesty, curiosity, practical tools, and deeper emotional work. I’m an active therapist. I’ll ask questions, notice patterns, offer perspectives, and help us slow down when something important is happening. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely understood while also supported in doing the sometimes uncomfortable work of changing longstanding patterns.
