Matt Brown AMFT

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

See if we should work together

Matt Brown

I'm Matt, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT143779) dedicated to investigating and taking an active role with you and your goals. I'm sharp with interpersonal challenges, changing difficult patterns, and reclaiming a sense of self (think filling that empty void and feeling whole again).

After ten years as a transformational leader, I'm especially well suited to clients and couples who want structure, strategy, and accountability. Not only do I have an integrative toolkit of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, but I have a deep personal understanding and language for the benefits and limitations of each. Together we will create a plan that balances safety, trust, and alliance-building with hard truths and surmountable challenges.

I lead with values (mine are balance, connection, curiosity), offer transparency and collaboration with notes and goals, believe in holistic mind-body healing, and emphasize trauma-informed, depth-oriented care. We will go to dark places together, and sometimes it will hurt before it gets better, but if reading this excites even a small part of you...then maybe we're onto something already.

For a free 20-minute consultation, please schedule using my online booking or give me a call at (310) 987-7924. Let's be efficient and real with each other. I value healing and growth too much to waste your time doing anything less.

Who I work with

My work focuses on identifying blind spots in identity, values, and self, so I'm highly effective with people who feel anxious, disassociated, or disconnected. I work with individuals and couples, many from corporate or entertainment industry careers, on communication, gender, sexuality, and behavioral changes. My clients and I strive to prevent and treat the conditions that lead to depression, addiction, codependence, and disordered eating.
